The Healthy Options Australia group (Drug ARM Australasia, the Mental Health Association QLD and Australian College of Community Services) exists to support individuals and families experiencing mental health or substance use, to live a full and meaningful life in the community.

Client Objective

Healthy Options required the design of four separate and uniquely styled websites, all with the capability for online donations, developed to take advantage of economies of scale. iFactory’s approach was to design and develop the Healthy Options website as a master from which to model the others.

iFactory Solution

Working within existing branding guidelines, iFactory built the master site using the open-source CMS Drupal. Features included: interactive slide banner, custom infographics to improve scannability, sticky ShareThis menu for link sharing on social media, Google Maps integration, and a variety of forms for functions such as venue hire, course enrolment, email subscription and contact us.

From this, all common features were then re-themed and replicated for use across the three remaining sites. Specifically, the ecommerce feature, which supports collection of online donations, was installed on three of the four websites. iFactory designed a centralised process for users to donate using straightforward check boxes including pre-set amounts and single/recurring donations options, and an option to select which of the three agencies their donation should be directed.

As a testament to the success of the project and of our ongoing relationship with Healthy Options Australia since June 2013, iFactory has recently been engaged to design yet another website to complement their efforts in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) prevention. This project is currently in the initial design phase with launch expected by March 2015.
