Best in Class Award for HIV Awareness Website

Awarded Best in Class by the Interactive Media Awards

iFactory, one of Brisbane’s premier digital and creative agencies, today announced that it has been awarded Best in Class by the Interactive Media Awards™ for its work on the HIV Foundation Queensland Website ( hiv foundation ). The site was honoured specifically for excellence in Charity.

The Interactive Media Awards™ recognise the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honour individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievement.

On Thursday, August 14, 2014, iFactory was awarded Best in Class for excellence in the design, development and implementation of the HIV Foundation Queensland Website.

Created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a non-profit organisation of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, the competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and offer winners a boost in marketing and exposure. IMC serves as the primary sponsor and governing body of the Interactive Media Awards™, establishes the judging system and provides the judges for the competition.

All of the judges are distinguished professionals and members of the Interactive Media Council (IMC), a non-profit organisation dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence on the Internet. IMC is the primary sponsor and governing body of the Interactive Media Awards. Some of the esteemed judges include representatives from American Express, Cadbury Schweppes, CNN Money, New York Times, Ogilvy & Mather, Time Warner.

Dan Vercoe, Principal Communication and Change Advisor for Department of Health Queensland Government, said, “It was really nice working with the team on the project and I think this is a testament to how well the project was managed with the audience and stakeholder challenges. Congratulations on the award, we will certainly be feeding the good news back to the HIV Foundation board and CEO.”

It is not easy to win a web award from the IMA, so iFactory is clearly very excited by this recent win.

Some of the other winners for the Best in Class award include the likes of Disney.com, Call of Duty Endowment Website, CBS.com Website, McDonald’s Turkey, Crabtree & Evelyn Website and Oprah.com. The Best in Class award is the highest honour bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. In order to win this award level, your site had to successfully pass through our comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of our judging criteria – an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.

The Interactive Media Awards™ recognise the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honour individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievement.
