About the Client
Did you know that of the 36 million people in the world that are blind, many of them don’t have to be? With the global burden of blindness set to almost double by 2020, there are organisations like the Layton Vision Foundation dedicated to eradicating curable and incurable blindness. With the help of public and corporate donations, Layton Vision Foundation’s dedicated eye health researchers and scientists develop therapies for macular degeneration, find better ways to diagnose and treat diabetic retinopathy, and develop cancer gene therapy for treatment of eye melanoma.
Client Objective
As a newly registered charity, it’s only natural that Layton Vision Foundation would need a digital presence to encourage donations, spread awareness about the cause and draw attention to their research. The team at Layton Vision Foundation were looking to iFactory to build a corporate website based on their newly created branding, which incorporated an online donation system. That had the ability to securely receive and process donations (once-off, recurring).
iFactory Solution
To achieve a corporate yet contemporary and approachable feel that would appeal to high-end corporate donors, iFactory’s designers focused on creating sharp, striking imagery. To extend across multiple devices, the new Layton Vision Foundation website is responsive and user-friendly for donations. We custom built an online donation system feature with a secure encrypted payment gateway. We studied Layton Vision Foundation supporter’s behaviour and designed a website with conversion funnels (donation page) that makes it quick and easy for users to donate. Using donation flow conversion strategy, we assigned set amounts for people to donate and allowed them to do a once-off donation or set up a direct debit for ongoing monthly donations.
