About the Client
Logan Together is a wide-reaching public initiative that brings together experts from Griffith University and the Logan City Council, among other community interests, to improve the lives of those growing up in Logan City. The city plays host to a wide range of people from many diverse backgrounds, making it an exciting place to live, work and play, and it comes with its own set of challenges. Logan Together aims to address these by ensuring children have the support they need through their formative years to set them up for a great life in adolescence and adulthood. This is done by measuring benchmarks at key moments in a child’s life and providing the necessary information and support for parents and caregivers.
Client Objective
A wealth of intensely researched information – The Roadmap – forms the basis of Logan Together’s findings. The brief was to redevelop the existing Logan Together website incorporating the Roadmap data to create an interactive tool for the target demographic, including local, state and federal government departments, the community and not-for-profit organisations. The site was to form the basis for the Collective Impact approach, that is a framework to tackle deeply entrenched and complex social problems. The site needed to be easy to navigate, present a consistent brand and fresh, visual presence and be responsive to a range of devices. Logan Together also needed the website to be built on a content management system (CMS) allowing for the updating of content to be completed in-house as required.
iFactory Solution
iFactory developed a fully featured website that used bold colours, engaging imagery and smartly-presented editable charts and graphs to inform the public about Logan Together’s goals and achievements. The site was developed in a WordPress framework and was designed with mobile responsiveness in mind, balancing the needs of phone and tablet users with the site’s core objectives of presenting complex sets of information.
Working collaboratively with a brand strategy agency and the Logan Together organisation, iFactory designed the site so that key information for each age group could be found easily. We implemented best SEO practices to form a solid framework for search rankings. The new website was further complemented with an event and calendar section, news, online resource library and a click to tweet to encourage sharing of the Collective Impact approach. To help Logan Together grow their community, a contact form with database management was applied allowing for email marketing subscription.
Together, we made a site that will help Logan City grow into the future.
