About the Client
Downer Blasting Services (DBS) is just one of the businesses that falls under the Downer Group umbrella. Their beginnings were modest, with the company starting as a small niche player in the Hunter Valley. At the time of their first acquisition, they had five projects and an emulsion-manufacturing facility. Over the next twenty years, they would grow to be one of the largest blasting contractors in the Australian mining industry. We’ve had the privilege of working with Downer Group before, building a web-based application to help their geographically diverse employees stay connected.

One of the standout features of the new Downer Blasting Services website included an exhaustive document management system. As Downer Blasting Services is a highly technical company which prides itself on safety and compliance, an easily accessible document system that lives on the public website is necessary for reliable version control and ensuring everyone has access to the latest information. The content management system, WordPress, allowed site administrators to easily and quickly update information easily.
