About the Client
Ear Health has been in operation in New Zealand since 1995 and has built a reputation for delivering a painless and gentle method of ear wax build up using a microscope and micro-suction. They deliver a quality service professionally to hundreds of clients each year. Each of their practices offers treatment for ear wax buildup, ear aches, ear infection and other common ailments such as surfer’s ear and aeroplane ear. They have been supported by the Hearing Association, the National Foundation for the Deaf and many general practitioners around the country.
Client Objective
Ear Health operated in over 60 locations in New Zealand across both islands, each with their own operating hours and services. The organisation needed a website that could quickly direct visitors to their nearest practice in a manner that will be easy regardless of the user’s age or website experience, while easily informing them about how procedures work and how to prevent recurring symptoms. Facing a new round of expansion into new territories across New Zealand and even Australia, the company needed a website that could grow with them.
iFactory Solution
iFactory has extensive experience with designing friendly, easy to navigate websites for all ages groups to enjoy and use. The first step in creating the Ear Health website was to research the field and find what competitors in that space have done and then work with the design team to add modern style and proven techniques that result in a better user experience, especially for the over 55’s market.
We integrated a geolocation feature that showed the nearest clinics from the user’s location, which then linked to a system powered by Cliniko. This system generates data from that particular clinic and allows users to discover more information and book in for an appointment. Using the WordPress Content Management System gives site administrators a powerful yet friendly backend system for administrators to add, modify or remove content as needed.
