Google confirms links still key in SEO

Links mean rankings, rankings mean visitors.

Google recently stated, following updates to their algorithms that contrary to what many web users were saying, links were still one of the most imperative factors in Google’s ranking system. In other words Google highlighted that if your site does not have the right links; it simply will not achieve high rankings and the subsequent high volumes of visitors. The more backlinks a web page has pointing back to it, the more user traffic it will see; backlinks being the hyperlinks directing users from one web page to another website.

In contrast to what some online users believe, Google has stated it will continue to use links, in particular backlinks, to determine a page’s visitor frequency, and in turn assess what best serves the needs of the users searching for specific content.
