Top 7 CRM systems

If you’re looking for a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, there is a large selection available with a huge range of features. It can be difficult to know where to start when faced with so much choice. So we’ve compiled a list of the top 7, ready to use, CRM systems to help you with your decision:

1. Salesforce www.salesforce.com

Salesforce is the industry number one off the shelf CRM, with about a 14% share of the CRM market. It is cloud-based and offers packages to suit everything for small businesses to huge, international enterprises. However, for smaller businesses it may be needlessly expensive when compared with other systems. Salesforce is a powerful CRM system, with lots of customs add-ons, and they frequently roll out new features.

2. SugarCRM www.sugarcrm.com

SugarCRM is an open-source CRM that is popular with small to medium sized businesses. It has less features than Salesforce, but a pricetag that matches this. The open-source nature of the product means that developers can easily build new features or find existing ones on the SugarExchange. There are onsite and cloud-based versions available, and there is also an app.

3. NetSuite CRM www.netsuite.com

NetSuite CRM is targeted at companies of all sizes, but it is probably best for small to medium sized businesses. They have lots of useful features, such as marketing and order automation, but it may be costly when compared with other CRM systems.

4. Microsoft Dynamics dynamics.microsoft.com/en-us/

Arguably the best thing about Microsoft Dynamics is its complete integration with other Microsoft products, such as Office. It is suitable for companies of all sizes and it comes with a suite of sales, marketing and customer service tools, making it ideal for all departments to use.

5. SAP www.sap.com

The SAP CRM application is targeted at mid-sized and large companies, and includes a variety of modules that help many areas of the business, including sales, marketing and service. With this CRM you can combine transactional and external data in order to get a 360° view of all your customers.

6. HubSpot CRM www.hubspot.com/products/crm

A newcomer to the CRM scene, inbound marketing company HubSpot recently announced that will be releasing their own CRM system. It will be offered to existing HubSpot customers in early 2015 and will be fully integrated with HubSpot. This means all your sales and marketing will be in one place, taking the hassle out of having separate systems for everything. This CRM will be brand new though, so there may be a few features that need to be added or tweaked once it is released.

7. Custom CRM systems

If you want a CRM system that’s completely tailored to your business’s needs, we suggest a custom CRM system made for you from scratch. You could also base many of the features off an existing CRM system and then add other features that are useful to your company. If you don’t want to pay licensing fees for features that you don’t need or that doesn’t have the features that you do need, a custom built CRM system could be the solution. It would be made to your exact specifications and integrated with your entire business, whatever your company’s size or industry.
